About Us
Sean Harris Construction is committed to reducing building impacts on human health and the environment. To do so we maximize the use of sustainable building and design techniques. This includes using natural and recycled products, improving resource efficiency, and reducing waste and pollution. The end result is a quality, healthy living space with a minimal impact on the environment.
Our level of "green" caters to our clients needs and desires. One of the best ways to build with a minimal environmental impact is to pay attention to detail and build right. That means starting with the right design, using the right materials, and following the right assembly procedures.

What We Do

Straw Bale Studio
At Sean Harris Construction we do everything from small renovations to full homes and cottages. We make every effort to use healthy natural materials wherever possible while creating the look and functionality you desire. The materials we use range from no/low toxic conventional materials, caulks, paints, and adhesives to more natural materials including straw bales, earthbags, cordwood, and cork. To lower the carbon footprint of your home we try and source our materials as local as possible.
We take pride in our high quality craftsmanship and our professional approach, which provides first-rate client experiences.

About Sean
Sean's interest in sustainable building was sparked in 2005 by his time volunteering at a Natural Building and Environmental Education Centre in Costa Rica. Since then he has been ever expanding his understanding of sustainable building. In the summer of 2009 Sean graduated from Fleming College's Sustainable Building Design & Construction course. In November of 2009 Sean became a LEED Accredited Professional. This training has enabled him to combine his knowledge of sustainable building with his experience building cabins, saunas, fences, decks and straw bale buildings.
